FIT Ministry Center

Exciting news for the Families In Transition Ministry! God has been leading us to move forward from providing furniture and household goods to families coming out of homelessness, having a Good News Club at the Hartford Apartments, and developing relationships in the community, to an exciting new ministry opportunity. God has opened the door to establish a Ministry Center at the Hartford Apartments!

The purpose is to have a physical presence in the neighborhood where God has led us to serve our community. This next step in ministry in the Hartford Apartments/Carver Elementary neighborhood will enable us to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to children and families, and to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We want to go out to where people are to share the love of Jesus Christ.

To that end, God has opened the door for the FIT Ministry to rent an apartment at the Hartford Apartments. The vision is that the Ministry Center will be a place for children to gather on Saturday morning for pancakes, Bible study, and fun; a library for children’s books; and a resource center for household goods. At this time, the focus is the children. As God leads, other ministries will develop, and the center may be a place for worship and prayer.

Saturday Pancakes and Bible lesson

  1. Each Saturday morning we are serving the community by providing a pancake breakfast to kids, a Bible lesson, and reading/game time. Please join in!
  2.  Please pray! We need to cover this ministry in prayer. As Paul said “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Please pray for the Ministry Center!
